A Home Is More Than Four Walls
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a reminder that behind every statistic is a person, a family, a circle of friends and a community whose lives have been touched in some way.
In real estate, we often speak about the value of a home in terms of location, size, finishes and market conditions. But the true value of a home can never be measured by numbers alone.
Home is where life happens.
It is where families gather around the kitchen table, where difficult conversations are shared, where celebrations take place and where people find comfort during challenging times. For someone undergoing treatment or recovering from illness, home can become an especially important place of rest, reassurance and support.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month also reminds us of the importance of looking after ourselves and encouraging the people around us to do the same. Awareness, regular health checks and early detection can all play an important role in breast health.
It is also an opportunity to acknowledge survivors, remember those we have lost and stand alongside those currently navigating diagnosis and treatment.

This October, let us take a moment to check in with the women — and men — in our lives, encourage conversations about breast health and offer support wherever it may be needed.
Because whether we are helping someone find their first apartment, their forever home or simply being there for a neighbour or colleague, strong communities are built when people look out for one another.
